A Day in the Life of a Farm Cat
Hello! My name is Skimbleshanks. I'm a farm cat and I’m in charge of the barn. My duties begin early in the morning, though my people never get up early enough. I see that the horses have their feed and fresh water while making sure no mouse is lurking about. I also oversee the mucking of the stalls. I must inspect each and every stall as it is being mucked offering my excellent advice, people simply must be properly supervised! I oversee the people as they lead the horses out to the pasture for a morning romp.
After caring for the horses I hang out with the farm dogs. One simply cannot overlook those less fortunate than oneself. Sometimes the dogs play too rough and I climb to the top of the hay and watch them play (this is also a great place to watch birds). I insist on properly trained dogs at my barn, it is an absolute MUST. For help in training your dog here is great resource to achieve this goal. Just click here to find more information.
It’s nearly time for my nap. I think I’ll climb to the top of the hay and have a rest. I will be on “foal watch” soon. One of our horses is expecting a baby and I need my rest. I’ll get back to you soon.
